Ghosts Of World War II Invade Modern Photographs
Ghosts Of World War II Invade Modern Photographs - 40-year old sea pilot Sergey Larenkov really has the ability to make these photos look ghostly. He does photo montages with new photos of Paris and old black-and-white photos of Paris during World War II during the occupation in 1940. He calls the photo collection “The Ghosts of World War II’s Past”, and it was published in the Russian newspaper Rossiyskaya Gazeta in November 2010.
As mentioned Larenkov is a pilot, so this project is just a hobby to him. It all started when he got the idea to use his old postcards and combine them with modern photos. He then continued to do it with archived photographs, and for all his work he is of course using Photoshop. Something that can remind of this project are these amazing ghost-like long exposure photographs.
